Bucket List Races

Like many other runners, I have a list of races I would like to do someday.  This list has grown a lot since I joined Half Fanatics on Facebook which gave me the opportunity to see the medals for various races around the world.  Bling envy is very strong.  Here is my list thus far.

Indy Mini Marathon - a pretty close race to my home, but the Flying Pig shares the same weekend.  Update: I will be running this one this year.

Walt Disney World Marathon Dopey Challenge - the main obstacle here is cost.  I could stay with family in Orlando but the cost of the race is huge by itself.  If I did it, I would want to collect all of them 5k, 10k, Half, and Full.  Update: I'm doing the marathon in a week, but I would still love to do the Dopey Challenge.

New Years Double - I think this is the race.  I've seen it posted in Half Fanatics and celebrating a New year with a half in both years seems awesome.  I would be willing to do other races like this.

Ann Arbor Marathon - Since I went to college in Michigan and lived in Ohio before and since I feel it's fair that since I ran through OSUs stadium I also need to incorporate U of Ms.

Gasparilla Distance Challenge - Another multi-race event with challenge Medals and great goodies.  While Disney takes 4 days, Gasparilla only takes 2 with 2 races per day.  It sounds like fun.

Detroit Marathon - Racing in the US and Canada in one race, need I say more?

Boston Marathon - Let's be honest, it's every runner's dream to run Boston.  If I could run it just once by either qualifying or running for a charity, I'd be happy.

Hershey Half Marathon - Hershey kiss medal, chocolate related landmarks, and it just looks fun.

Gildan Esprit De She - After I ran across this series of events last year I wanted to find a way to participate in it.  The 5k is treated like a half with loads of goodies but the cost is reasonable.  I've also wanted to do a triathlon and this seems like it might be a good one to complete.

Garmin Marathon - Ever since I was little, The Wizard of OZ has been a major part of my life.  I would love to run a race in Kansas with that theme.

Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon - The bombing of the Oklahoma City Building was horrible and devastating and that fact that no one talks about it anymore is even worse.  I need to run this race.

Divas Half Marathon - This is to balance if my husband ever runs the Hooter's Half.

Running Between the Vines - Part easy trail, part road, lots of goodies.

Bakers Dozen Half Marathon - The Tour de Donut for runners (yes, I know there are other donut runs, but this one seems closer in spirit to the Tour)

Edinburgh Marathon - I would love to get out of the country to run.  This one looks pretty, fun, and it's in Scotland (my kilted husband would enjoy)

Rock 'n Roll Races - I have done the New Orleans races and they were fun.  I'm going to amend this to their Las Vegas Half marathon and 5k.

The Hoot Trail Races - This one is peer pressure, but a trail half with no pressure on time seems enjoyable.

New Moon Half - Evening race with an interesting theme expressed in the medals.

Midnight Sun Marathon -  Another international race, starts at 10:30 pm and stays light the entire time.  Seems like a fun way to celebrate the Solstice.

New York Marathon - I Love New York

I'm sure this is just the beginning.  This list will change as I achieve goals, find other races, or races disappear.  Any suggestions?
